Xtra Steps is an independently operated Aboriginal business with the ambition and passion to develop and implement Indigenous engagement strategies for the progression of the social and economic development of Indigenous communities, based on Patrick Wheeler’s personal experiences and assurances.

Diversely experienced including 22 years working for Queensland Rail Tourism, 14 years in Aboriginal organisations, 10 years in the mining sector and 7 years as an elected local government Councillor with the Carpentaria Shire Council, Patrick has acquired broad ranging skills and knowledge which enable him to establish responsive relationships and negotiate the implementation of best practice engagement strategies for the benefit of both Indigenous communities and industry groups.
